The BNPA Sailing School has received the following labels from the French Sailing Federation:
"École Française de Voile" (French Sailing School), "Club Sport Loisir" (Sport Leisure Club), and "Point Location" (Rental Point).
These labels are a testament to the high quality of services offered by the team of qualified and experienced instructors.
Through school sailing and related activities, the BNPA introduces students to new natural elements and a new sport. Furthermore, sailing lessons allow children to discover the lake, its natural and cultural environment, as well as the history of the Serre-Ponçon Dam, which was built in the 1950s.
During the summer season, the facility offers sailing courses, private lessons, and rentals. It is also possible to combine both: a "package" of one hour with an instructor and one hour of rental.

SAILING CLUB SPORT & LEISURE
The BNPA Sport & Leisure Club offers several 8-session packages, running from May 14 to July 6 (weather permitting, catch-up sessions in early September).
- Wednesday afternoons for children in Optimist and Catamaran
- Sunday afternoons for adults in Windsurfing and Catamaran
Activities resume on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
New in 2025: Participate in two regional regattas – Open to all skill levels (BNPA & CNA Embrun).

SCHOOL SAILING
This activity is organized and supervised by a trained team specialized in school sailing instruction.
We provide dinghies (Optimist), catamarans, and funboats.
To participate, students must complete a water confidence test before their stay.
As an outdoor activity, sailing helps children develop a better understanding of the aquatic environment: wind, water levels...
SAILING FOR INDIVIDUALS
Water sports equipment rental: Available 6 days a week, within a monitored and designated sailing area, depending on weather conditions. Available equipment: Beginner or sport catamarans, windsurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking...
Private lesson + rental packages: 2-hour session – 1 hour with an instructor for guidance, followed by 1 hour of independent practice.
Courses for adults and children (2-hour sessions) for beginners and advanced sailors:
- 2-day courses (2 x 2h)
- 3-, 4-, or 5-day courses (5 x 2h) in July/August, available for various watercraft: Optimist, funboat, catamaran, windsurf, and paddleboard.
- Fun, multi-activity weekly courses, available for full-day or half-day sessions: "Lake Explorers" and "Nautical Escape".
- All courses are led by certified sailing instructors.
- Sailing lessons available from age 7!
Guided sailing tour on Lake Serre-Ponçon: Explore the lake on a large collective catamaran (8.30m long), with space for 8 people + an instructor.
Boat mooring: Secure a docking space for your boat (keelboat or light sailboat) near the lake for your desired period.
GROUP SAILING
From May to September:
- Optimist, Catamaran, and Windsurfing courses
- Guided Kayak or Stand-Up Paddle sessions to explore the lake in a different way
- Collective Catamaran outings (2 hours, half-day, or full-day)
- School sailing programs (4 x 2-hour sessions)
